Advertiser Review Indulge 2009 A Happy blast from the past blends with a breath of fresh air at Classics Restaurant, Walkerville. It's like stepping back into the '70s, when live music while you dined was high on the criteria for a good night out. The Jazz Mellow Trio has a steady Friday night gig at the Restaurant, providing a neat, moody background to a crowd dense with regulars lured by the traditional fare. It's easy-listening "dinner music" as a rule, but the crowd's mood on the night sets the tempo. And fresh yough Chef Andrew Thiele is playing with the menu, adding some more innovative specials, which in turn are drawing a different set who sometimes also coax the band to turn up the beat. The idea may be recycled, but no one can fault the notion of giving guests a bit more value and the chance to make dinner a full night out. More of it.
